Did I Mention We're Moving?

Yeah. Remind me never to move again, okay?

Additional note to self and whoever will listen: Don't accumulate so much "stuff" at the new house. I'm discovering, especially as we do the basement and garage that many things I THOUGHT were treasures years ago really aren't. I could have lived without them. And I should have gone through them and pitched them years ago at my leisure, instead of now during duress.

Poor girl! It will be worth the effort once you're in the new place. There, you can unpack at your leisure. Don't let the realtor pressure you, you're doing fine, I'm sure.

Well, no, we really ARE behind. We keep realizing things we need to do and haven't done yet. For instance, we haven't even defrosted my downstairs freezer. Yeeks. Going to do that now (at 4 a.m. - awake with nerves on end). Also haven't packed kitchen - and we're moving in 3 days? Yikes. Gotta go.

Mazel Tov! We'll see you back here when you are moved!

If I were closer I would come help, I move 3-4 times a year and have gotten quite ruthless about it.

Seriously, Elysbeth, you move 3-4 times a year? Oh my!!! I can't imagine that. The closing is tomorrow and the move is on Friday. Right now, everything is in chaos and I'm getting cold feet - but it's too late to back out now. The final walk throughs were done tonight. More anxiety than anything right now.

Chelle,

I really feel for you. And I am taking to heart your advice to purge before you have to during times of duress! We live in a townhouse, with no basement, attic, or even garage, but still it's amazing how much junk I can fit into the 2nd bedroom, the halls and landing, and even our teeny strip of yard.

My goal for my upcoming layoff is to make a working studio out of that 2nd bedroom (or at least be able to actually move through it!).
