Cedar Rapids Flooded
Damn, damn, damn. We used to live there, we still have friends there. My favorite house of all time is there.
Cedar Rapids, Iowa is under water. This weather has been freak'n unbelievable.
Think your prayers are helping, the Cedar River has retreated some. I am still praying that it stops raining, dang it. They don't need any more rain or threats of tornadoes.
What's really bad now is that in that yucky water mix was some fuel spillage which will further damage homes and businesses. Not to mention the mold and all the other Katrina-like problems. It will probably take YEARS for them to recover.

Sending prayers.

Oh. My. Goodness. Incredible photos.
My town had a 25-yr flood in 1975 but it did not hit the downtown business district. Lots of folks could canoe in their yards, that was bad enough.
Sending good vibes to Cedar Rapids. Not much else I can do.
